In a rapidly changing health care environment   of India, Hemalata Hospitals & Research Center, Bhubaneswar is a welcome center for Eastern India. This project will be in  state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapy equipment.  The eastern region including the State of  Orissa have been deprived of quality health care due to the prohibitive cost of the technology.  Hemalata hospitals  is  a maiden effort in this direction. It will bring in the much needed infrastructure like Linear Accelerator with Multileaf  Collimator, 3D Conformal Radiotherapy and Stereotactic  Radiosurgery system,  that will cater to the needs of around 200 million people  in the region.  Modern diagnostics in the form of MRI, Spiral CT scanner, Gamma Camera and allied equipment, the first of their kind in Orissa will form the back bone of the quality health care services that this center envisages to render. Fighting cancer and other dreaded diseases have been left to the organization that have limitation in resources and too little is available for too many.  Planned to emerge as a major referral Center, Hemalata hospitals will augment these facilities both in secondary and tertiary level
